Microsoft just released a hotfix for Groove 2007 to address two annoying problems:
First, the account restore behavior was changed. In Groove 2007 (and even the older Groove clients) account backups had a shelf life. If the account backup was > 60 days old, the account could not be imported. This has been fixed now so you can import older accounts. Since duplicate id's can be a pain, its a huge benefit to have an easy account restoration process.
The second issue is the auto-account configuration feature on the Groove 2007 Manager. The feature lets setup the infrastructure so Groove users are automatically provisioned without having to enter configuration codes, etc. The problem is fixed where that auto-config failed, and users couldn't complete the configuration step. This auto-config feature fix is a very good news but remember that documentation states that you need the appropriate underlying network configuration.
To get the hotfix, you need to contact support and they will provide the update for you. These fixes will also be in the upcoming SP, when released. If you are encountering the above problems, though, you want to start with the hotfix.
