New opportunities to access relevant information for businesses and individuals
Paris, February 9th 2011 — Boozter (480 028 281 R.C.S. BREST) has announced its acquisition of Hommes & Process SARL (448 767 707 R.C.S. RENNES). Both companies produce software applications for the enterprise market where Boozter focuses on semantic components to simplify search and access to information through discovery, and Hommes & Process, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, specializes in secure solutions for group collaboration within the Microsoft SharePoint® environment.
Every month, more than 500 organizations across the world use Hommes & Process’s solutions to search, access, collect and use data. Its exploitation is at the heart of companies like the International Defense Counsel (DCI), Technicolor, CCIAG, health organizations like Medi-Partenaires or Saint-Louis Hospital. It is also being implemented by experts working in specialized groups such as FGPEP, Business specialized experts, or by users within difficult or crisis environments. Its clients appreciate the robustness of their solutions according to a recent survey carried out by TNS in March 2010.
Hommes & Process provides a highly secure platform for team projects. Its dynamic solution is quickly adapted by professionals who depend on rapid and protected access to pertinent information, within such fields as energy, pharmaceutical research, defense, NGOs, enterprise services, life sciences and clinics.
“To accelerate the deployment of “Discovery” type applications within these fields, we have a true need for a partner with disruptive technology” said Jean-Michel Davault, managing director of Hommes & Process. “This new alliance represents a formidable opportunity for our partners and clients, who will now benefit from a technology and expertise indispensable to greater success in their daily access to information.”
Jan Talens, Director of sales for Hommes & Process and now for Boozter France, underlined that, "the solutions developed so far by Hommes & Process will become a real "must have" for our customers with the integration of the 4W interface (Who, When, Where, What), further intelligent and semantic algorithms, as well as the Boozter Core. Indeed, beyond Microsoft SharePoint ® and Outlook ®, obtaining relevant data is now possible from mobile phones. Combined with the power of social networks, our revolutionizing solutions will gear us towards the new generation in accessing information. With Boozter’s technologies and expertise, the number of people who will benefit from our technology will explode!”
"Innovation is everywhere though in an ever-more dense environment. We now require "finding" more than "searching". International experience gained by Hommes & Process will enable Boozter to take new steps of development in the coming months particularly in the U.S. and Asian markets," said Jean-Marc Liron, Director of Boozter.
"Everyone longs for that intuitive "life-like" simplicity when seeking information. We now have to value the wealth of information available both inside and outside companies. There is at least a 15% margin for improvement in time allotted to a typical enterprise’s search for relevant data, not counting what other value can be found now through external discovery " said Pierre-Yves Nedelec the CFO of Boozter. “With our partners we will now provide a new class of solutions for accessing information, with special attention to those in need of “discovery” especially within collaborative communities”.
Dr. Patrice Descourt, Director of Research at Boozter acknowledges the role of the nucleus "Marvin" in the scientific advance of the Boozter Core. “This addition will significantly benefit all inhouse applications and intelligent search technologies, allowing Boozter and Hommes & Process to enter the global stage in information discovery”.
Mr. Blaise Vignon, Microsoft manager for "emerging market" partners at Microsoft France said of the acquisition: "We are delighted to support the emergence of Boozter at an important level within the sofware industry." Fostering critical growth within French software editors is indeed one of the key roles of AFDEL (French Association of Software Editors), and Hommes & Process and Microsoft are both members.
Mr. Stephane Bennour, President of the French chapter of IAMCP (International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners), said that "The merger between players in the Microsoft ecosystem is one of the goals of our association. This acquisition, of obviously complementary members, brings together expertise that will hopefully soon command international recognition. It is a very good omen at a time when exporting value is a key factor in our economy. "
